INNOWWIDE at ENRICH Roadshow in Bulgaria

The RCISD team organized on June 3rd to 5th an ENRICH roadshow in Bulgaria (ENRICH in Brazil Infoday + ENRICH in the USA training), with the support of the Institute for Technology Transfer and Innovations (ITTI), the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Plovdiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry and with the collaboration of the IPR SME Helpdesk Latin America.
Between the two main sessions, Béla Kardon, from RCISD, delivered a presentation on the INNOWWIDE project, presenting the main current activities and giving a brief prospect about the upcoming 2nd Call that will be open around September 2019.

INNOWWIDE CALL I: Nearly 400 applications from innovative SMEs in 35 EU and associated states, targeting more than 50 third countries worldwide.

07 June 2019 – 378 applicants from 35 EU and associated countries applied for funding under the first INNOWWIDE call, which closed last Friday 31 May.

The most popular overall target country for viability assessment projects was the USA with 22% of applicants, followed by India, China, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Japan, Colombia, Canada and Russia.

54 target countries figured in this first call, with a widespread and balanced distribution between the three categories: developing, large emerging  and developed.

All applications will now go through a strict eligibility check and independent evaluation, with the applications selected for funding being announced around the end of September 2019. INNOWWIDE organized the 2nd Consortium Meeting in Porto

The INNOWWIDE project had its 2nd Consortium Meeting in Porto, Portugal, on April 2nd and 3rd 2019. The event was hosted by one of the project’s partners, SPI – Sociedade Portuguesa de Inovação (www.spieurope.eu), at their headquarters in Porto. All other partner organisations, from 8 different European countries, were represented in the meeting.

During the meeting, the consortium went through the different Work Packages (WP) and specific tasks that are currently being developed. The main discussion topic was the 1st Call for VAPs (viability assessment projects) that had just been launched (on April 1st) and that is currently open until May 31st.

Regarding this 1st VAP Call, the project partners aligned strategies for the dissemination and outreach, namely on the preparation of a number of activities to efficiently spread information about this opportunity to potential applicants. Another important issue also addressed was the need to support potential applicants during the application stage. This point was carefully discussed among the partners in order to provide the most adequate responses, so those VAP applicants can have the needed support when it comes to the application process and all the call related details.

1st VAP Call is Open!

The INNOWWIDE 1st Call for applications for the VAPs – Viability Assessment Projects – just opened on April 1st.

You are able to submit your application until May 31st in the following portal: https://innowwide.smartsimple.ie/s_Login.jsp

The viability assessment projects will last for six months and the project must have eligible costs of at least €86,000, to be funded at up to 70% (a fixed lump sum grant of €60,000).

This call for VAPs aims to enhance the evidence base for EU R&I policy through in-depth analyses of the outcomes, experiences and impacts of a critical number of viability assessment projects of innovative solutions for markets outside Europe.

Info Session: SME Opportunities for Global Markets

INNOWWIDE Info session at Eureka Global Innovation Summit 2019

This Workshop, happening on May 15th in Manchester at the EUREKA Global Innovation Summit, aims at presenting the funding and networking opportunities the INNOWWIDE project offers to European SMEs.
The focus is on the open Call for VAPs enabling European companies (if successful) to receive 60.000€ grants to explore international markets outside Europe.
The INNOWWIDE Secretariat will present call’s details, requirements, processes and deadline. Moreover, the session will highlight the partnering opportunities the INNOWWIDE programme offers to companies who are looking for partners in third countries (INNOWWIDE matchmaking tool).
CUBE IN programme will give a few tips on the importance of managing the cultural differences European entrepreneurs face when approaching a new market.
The workshop will then see the participation of international platforms that can support European applicants getting connected to Indian, Brazilian, Chinese and US partners. The ENRICH Centres and the EU-India Platform programmes will outline their networks and services and how they can support EU companies accessing these markets.
