The goal of this platform is to facilitate your approach to the third-country markets and to create partnerships in medium to long-term. In this way, you should have in consideration that you may not be able to establish a partnership in time to submit your VAP application within the available timeframe.

Partner Search Support Agencies
The following is a (non-exhaustive) list of known European funded projects, organisations or agencies working to support European SMEs to internationalise in third countries outside the EU Member States and Associated Countries. These organisations will be able to support your organisation as you seek a relevant partner.
ECCP European Cluster Collaboration Platform (Europe)
The European Cluster Collaboration Platform is a service facility aiming to provide cluster organisations with modern tools. In this context, it facilitates matchmaking and international collaboration for all the stakeholders involved in clusters, particularly companies.
EUREKA Secretariat (Worldwide)
EUREKA is a European research initiative with the goal of motivating cross-border co-operation between industry and research institutions in the area of technological research and development. The initiative aims at concentrating the existing potential of specialists, know-how, research facilities, and financial resources in Europe in order to make more efficient use of all these elements. In this way, EUREKA contributes to the competitiveness of European industry on the world marketplace.
ENRICH in USA – European Network of Research and Innovation Centres and Hubs in USA
The European Network of Research and Innovation Centres and Hubs (ENRICH) in USA offers services to connect European companies and organizations with the US research, technology and innovation market and ecosystem. It acts as a central contact point for European research and innovation actors seeking to grow and reinforce collaboration across the Atlantic.
ENRICH in Brazil – European Network of Research and Innovation Centres and Hubs in Brazil
The European Network of Research and Innovation Centres and Hubs (ENRICH) in Brazil offers services to connect European companies and organizations with the Brazilian research, technology and innovation market and ecosystem. It acts as a central contact point for European research and innovation actors seeking to grow and reinforce collaboration towards Brazil.
Latin America IPR SME Helpdesk
The Latin America IP SME Helpdesk is a First Line Intellectual Property Assistance Service for European/COSME Small and Medium Enterprises (EU SMEs and SMEs from the Associated Countries) that operate or intend to access the Latin American market towards improving their global competitiveness. The Helpdesk provides free, expert and confidential IP advice as well as different trainings and resources for learning how to manage Intellectual Property Rights in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
China IPR SME Helpdesk
The China IPR SME Helpdesk is a free service which provides practical information with the aim to help European SMEs make informed and strategic decisions regarding their IPR (e.g. patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, tech.transfer). For questions please write: email@example.com.
ENRICH in China – European Network of Research and Innovation Centres and Hubs in China
The European Network of Research and Innovation Centres and Hubs (ENRICH) in China offers services to connect European companies and organizations with the Chinese research, technology and innovation market and ecosystem. It acts as a central contact point for European research and innovation actors seeking to grow and reinforce collaboration towards China.
EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation
Funded by the European Commission and the Japanese Government, the EU-Japan Centre aims at promoting all forms of industrial, trade and investment cooperation between the EU and Japan and at improving EU and Japanese companies’ competitiveness and cooperation by facilitating exchanges of experience and know-how between EU and Japanese businesses.
In particular it provides support to EU SMEs in the form of: trade missions to Japan, intelligence, matchmaking and logistic supports among others.
EU SME Centre (China)
EU SME Centre in China is an initiative of the European Union that provides a comprehensive range of hands-on support services to European SMEs, getting them ready to do business in China. The team of experts provides advice and support in four areas – business development, law, standards and conformity and human resources.

South-East Asia IPR Helpdesk
The South-East Asia IPR SME Helpdesk supports European Union small and medium sized enterprises protect and enforce their Intellectual Property rights in or relating to Southeast Asian countries, through the provision of free information and services. Are you an SME and have an enquiry about the management or protection of your intellectual property in Southeast Asia? Just drop an email to: email@example.com and you will get an answer in 3 working days.
You can submit your matchmaking request through our Matchmaking Tool and we will look for a suitable partner in the country that you’re interested in, having in consideration your business type and needs.
Please note that the platform aims to match European SMEs to third countries counterparts. The Matchmaking process will only work efficiently if the requests received are from EU or EU Associated Countries looking for partners outside Europe.
