Where did the project idea come from?

Two co-founders of the company were discussing the necessary use of antibiotics and the current unmet need of identifying bacterial infections, especially at the GP during the flue season

Why did you select that specific target country?

Levels took part in the Merck accelerator and discuss the use of rapid diagnostics tools with the CURAFA team. Thereafter, Levels went with the Dutch economic mision to Kenya and confirmed the unmet needs and potential of our product.

Who are your partners in the target country?

We mostly work with a distributor of rapid diagnostic tools in Kenya. They support with the feasibility of our business plan and with confirming the need and advantages of our product.

What is your long term vision for your company working in your chosen partner country?

The partner we have chosen has the capabilities of becoming our distributor in the long term.

What impact do you believe INNOWWIDE will have on your company?

Substantial! Thanks to the INNOWWIDE funding, we were able to invest time, resources and cash in the development of our product and assessing the market potential of Kenya.

Can you offer any advice or guidance to others looking to apply for INNOWWIDE grants?

The selection process is long and the application requires a lot of preparation work (between the 70 pages and the financial check etc.). From our experience, this was absolutely worth it!
